Gov. Palin is so evasive when answering critical questions that there is no way I would
trust her in leading our country.This is not a personality election & she doesn’t seem to be ready or qualified to assume the responsibility of being the Vice President.

Joe Biden is about as qualified as anyone could be & he shows the kind of confidence that we as a Nation will need in the future.

Palin made us aware that “The Good Old Boy Network” is alive and well with Biden and Obama. I don’t know how the Same Old is promoted as Change… When Obama with the shortest time in the Senate having the second most high income from Freddie and Fannie that promoted buyers to fail without using the normal credit and job history rules. That does not show knowledge or understanding of responsibility and growth when Obama induces people to fail… That’s unfair and not kind to others…

I blamed the congress not the president because they have the final power. They want to attach something to each bill for their benefit even though its not in the majoriety interest.

Boy, Sarah Palin sure gave me the confidence to know that I could run for vice president with all of her vague answers. She is a complete air head and has no humility whatsoever with her “SIX PACK JOE”" reference. I for one; think she held herself up high while putting the average voters who have been trying to hang on while their jobs are being sent over seas, employment down to the lowest in 7 years and just plain depressed from the Iraq war going on and on the the energized bunny. But, I still remember President Bush declaring “The War Is Over” and Senator McCain saying “OH this will be easy”. How would he know?? She suggested that the office of the VICE -PREZ ” should have more power” its clear to me that we cannot afford another 8 years of a female version of Dick Chenney or a female version of George W Bush if John Mc Cain should die suddenly if elected president.

Sarah Palin is an embarrassment to the United States and particularly women. Joe Bidden could’ve wiped the stage with her when he was done. Ms. Palin has little knowledge of what is going on outside the State of Alaska. We may as well vote for her pregnant teenage daugher - she probably has a better understanding of a democracy and current affairs.

I was glad that Palin’s voice was not as strident as usual. Thanks for the good prepping. As far as her opinions, as usual, evasive and out of context. Biden showed knowledge and firmness in his answers, but in reality, it was an uneventful night, boring and unimaginative.

If John McCain were to be elected and win office and if he were to pass… Lord help our country, because with the intelligence of Sarah Palin we should all just elect a caveman to run the united states. A Caveman would probably have more solutions to the problems that are now occuring in our country. Henc, we are talking about runing the entire UNITED STATES, not just one state. Palin needs to understand that Alaska is just one state.

During last nights debate, Sarah Palin showed us her true colors. she was an embarassment to all women in our nation, or even world wide.She was lacking common sense. I believe instead of representing John McCain, she was representing for all airheaded people.She believed she was communicating with the people of the united states, but it really looked as if she were competing in another one of her beauty pagents by the way she stared into the camera. Inconclusion if the republicans win…this world is in a lot of trouble. SO VOTE OBAMA/BIDEN YA’ll!!!!

Palin won by a significant margin. Even still, I was quite impressed by both candidates. Biden did far better than I expected, and Palin more than made up for the crappy interviews she’s been spitting out lately.

Neither of the two answered the questions. They were both very equal in that regard. Palin had numerous good rebuttals, but wasn’t as strong as Biden when it came to going first and providing specific information.

What ultimately won it for Palin was Biden’s annoying mannerisms and utter insistence on facts that may or may not have been true. The “global warming is man made” bit comes to mind. It very well could be, but we’ve no way of knowing, and basing an argument off of something that could very well be completely false, while providing the allusion that it is true beyond a doubt, is a terrible way to debate. The repetition and parallel structure also got old really fast. No, Biden, you don’t need to say it again. Nor do you need to provide six examples in parallel structure. It doesn’t emphasize a point when you do it every three minutes, it just proves that you don’t have anything else to add to the argument.

That’s not to say Palin didn’t have her faults, too. She did tend to ramble a bit, and I knew she was from Alaska even before she reminded me thirty times. In all, though, I really think she cleaned this one up.

Ms Palin even though young has successful experience being head in government 1st as a mayor and present as Governor of Alaska. She shows strong strength as a fresh voice from the outside of DC politics. She came across strong with facts of her success as a leader of what she has done in Alaska that can be implemented in Washington i.e. “Big Oil & their CEO’s, Education, Taxes, Health Care, Proper Oversight of Wall Street, Corporate Banks, Retirement Funds, National Debt, Terrorism, Iraq & Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, N. Korea, NATO, etc”. She speaks to the people and for the people. In fact Sarah Palin is the brightest of the four.

Sarah Palin won the debate, there’s no doubt! I loved the way her comments got under Biden’s skin. She did a GREAT DEBATE!!!!!!!

She is a straight talker and I believe she will help McCain CLEAN UP WASHINGTON!!!!!

I thought it much like the Nixon-Kennedy presidential debate. Biden won the debate like Nixon won the debate. Palin won the debate the way Kennedy won the debate. I don’t think Gov. Palin is ready for the White House just yet, but a couple of terms in the Senate should do it. Fun debate.

I must of been looking at the wrong channel because, the debate i saw palin still refuses to answer questions that americans really want to hear. She believes she is above the rest. Biden wins the debate but we all agree that Palin is smatter then George Bush. When we American can elect him for two terms and let him do what he likes then why not Palin. At least she is good looking, smarter and could speak better English than George Bush.

Sarah Palin was the shining star at the debate. She is the main reason millions of viewers tuned in. She’s beautiful and intelligent. But most of all, She’s got Guts!!! She maybe a little naive to the politcal game, which is refreshing, but she is sharp. She was able to Debate Bidden’s 30 years of experience inteligently with less than 5 weeks of prep time; that just shows you her level of passion for the job and intelligence. She is going to be an awesome Vice President. It’s a given Joe bidden knows how to play the debate game, he’s been in politics for 30 years. But He’s exactly what America is sick of. Politicians who play the game. Joe Bidden supposedly knows all about foreign policy and that’s the reason why Obama chose him. The fact is, Obama is just as inexperienced as Palin in this area. The only advantage he has over her is a law degree. He’s been trained to speak and calculate his every thought. That doesn’t qualify him as President. And If Joe bidden is so qualified as a VP and potential President, Why didn’t his own party select him as the Democratic Nomination? He’s been around long enough to be noticed. The real story here is Obama isn’t any more qualified than Palin and yet he’s running for President. It’s a double standard. Men vs. women. How do you suppose the “rich” got rich, maybe it was thru hard work and innate abilites, sure some made it thru their political connections, such as being appointed to high paying positions providing golden parachutes in the millions, even tho they destroyed the company they were supposedly managing, i.e “fannie mae and fannie mac”. Maybe we come from different worlds, but I have never seen a homeless or poor person striving to put food on the table creating a job or meeting a payroll. We have some unique candidates to consider this election. First, I don’t think any president has all that much to say about what actually happens. Obama is new and fresh, McCain is old and cranky. One thing for sure is we have got to get away from this military mentality we’ve developed. Stop already, we invaded a country on a guess, we’ve lost 30% more american lives in Iraq than on 9/11, we destroyed the country and now are paying to rebuild it. Stop this was mentality. Gov. Palin easily won this debate. She revealed the constant doublespeak of Biden and Obama and politicians in Washington, including McCann. I am sick and tired of these lawyers running and ruining our country. They’re the ones who’ve gotten us into this mess. I will vote for McCann only because of Sarah Palin! I do not care who won the debate as much as I concern about the issues that manner likes:
economic, health insurance, housing, jobs, education …..and in that manner the republicans do not know how to deal with. Under this administration the cost of gasoline has gone almost four time up to than the beginning of Bush presidency. I truly believed that Palin had an ear piece during the debate as Bush did during his. If you rewatch the tapes you’ll see she stares straight, doesn’t move, stops to think about the next word like she didn’t hear it right, etc…. and her performance was too far off all of those from previous weeks. We all know she memorized speeches and spewed them out even when they had no relevance to the questions ..why was she allowed to do that? Point is, how can we be certain that she will is not wired or have any devices of use to her up there on the podium next time?

With the country in such bad shape, it is amazing to me that people would want to put back into office the ones who actually put us here. The Clinton administration sat back and watched, doing nothing, while the American people were stripped of everything ingrained in our constitutional rights. Most especially our rights as a nation to feel respect for our own president. Pres Bush is being blamed, but he did not put us in the mess we are in now. That was started back many years ago. McCain and Palin are both ready to rid Washington of all the muck that is festering there. If it isn’t done, and soon, we are going to go further into the brink of disaster than we are already in. If Obama continues his associations in the future as in the past, we will have a more corrupt government if he is elected. It is amazing to me just because someone uses the word CHANGE they automatically think it will be change for the best. If Obama doesn’t win it won’t be because he hasn’t had every chance. He now has his own TV channel the method of voting has been change to accommodate him. They are teaching it in the schools. I wonder why he is still only 2-6 points ahead in the polls. As for Sarah Palin you can’t understand her because she isn’t about Washington politics she really is for the people. I pray God will lead us in making the right decision.

Sarah never answered any questions. She just had rehearsed answeres, put downs, slogans. You know, she thinks she is appealing with her winking at the american people and her common approach trying to appal to us. I have been reading the European Newspapers. I am so embarresed about how the rest of the world sees us. They are giving up on us if the “old man” and the “housewife” will be elected. They are both out of touch. We need new change but they are not it.
We need someone who is capable to not reacting but one who is analytical, sees the whole pictures, is capable of using diplomacy, and can leave his ego at home.

Sarah Palin comes across on television like a character out of a John Waters’ movie — glassy-eyed, lobotomized, a Stepford wife for the new millenium managing to recite rote speeches which are completely disconnected from the questions that have been asked of her. In watching the debate the first time, her folksy use of language (darn it, heck, can I call ya Joe?) seemed irritating. Watching it a second time it seemed more like a desperate attempt to cover up the basics which is that she’s incapable of independent thought.

People, we are in one of the most complex moments of American history with vast economic turmoil such as we experienced in the stock market crash of 1929 but now coupled with a massive global power shift that involves nuclear weapons.

In order to weather this, — we’re going to have to have the strongest possible leadership at the helm. McCain’s behavior in the campaign as his numbers sink, — hasn’t demonstrated the heroism he’s claimed — but a kind of desperation and erratic inconsistency. One minute he thinks the economy has never been more “sound”, two hours later he reverses direction. One minute he’s leaving New York City immediately and has to cancel his interview with David Letterman. Only, this was a blatant lie because he was in fact appearing on Katie Couric’s show. How could his opportunism to grab a sound byte at the expense of the American people be more obvious? And how cynical could he really be to think that should his health fail the robot-like woman incapable of original thought and with an extremely troubled background as the Governor of Alaska (under her leadership the country overspent about 1.5 million on a project scheduled to clock in at 500K, forced legislation that makes women who are raped have to pay for their examinations and vagianl smears, and used undue political influence and cronyism — sound familiar?)

George Bush inherited peace and prosperity and has torn that to pieces. McCain and Palin are already on the fast track to dragging us into further chaos.

We can’t afford that. Obama and Biden offer substance, intelligence, experience, and a firm traction with the reality of the issues at hand. McCain and Palin have soundbytes and an empty egotism which is warn, contradictory, and without substance.

I think the choice is clear.

Barack Obama appear to be the most hated yet the most loved politician to ever run for the highest office in our country. It wasn’t shocking to read the comments about Obama made by Palin. However, the most important issue is the McCain campaign initially revolved around “experience” yet McCain chose a running mate whose resume is as thin or if not thinner than Obama. McCain saw the momentum created through the Democratic Party with hopeful candidates Obama and Clinton therefore McCain then chooses a female candidate just to increase the female votes and to also make history. McCain campaign is so out of touch that they couldn’t create their own campaign slogan to capture the attention of the American people therefore they stole Obama slogan of change and is using it as a representation of themselves…this appear to be ignorance not genesis! Giuliani scoffed at the idea of one being a community organizer but Americans are more apt to listen to an organizer who they can see on a day-to-day basis than someone they have no contact with. It is true this election is the most historic. Historic is regards to an African American man running for president and a woman running for president not a man who wants to win so badly that he would strategically nominate a woman who is unintelligent about foreign policy and historic cases just to win the office of president. Yes, it is true that McCain is a veteran but how much credit should he receive for this? Does this matter at all? Will his experience in the Marines reform our economy? Will it create jobs? Will it affect legislation? Will it assist children in learning more in school? Will it actually help us when the war given that we are truly at war with the wrong people? Will is decrease gas prices or taxes? NO!

THE October 2 debate was won by the Washington outsider, non- Harvard graduate, small town girl from no where. With just 5 weeks in the campaign compare that with Obama’s 18 months. What happened to those elites from Washington DC Obama and Biden. Let me see along came Sara Palin O yes, yes, yes. To take the country back from the Feds in Washington. Say it ain’t so to take America back to the people.

Watching the debate reassured me that Biden is more qualified than Palin to be the next V.P. of America. She was an insult to her party and to educated women in America. I clearly dont understand how people can support a party that has placed us in such a horrible financial crisis. Bailing out corporations that have made billions over the past several years, but this is a free country. Americans should think about how the working class is suffering. Washington has made the rich richer, the middle class - working their a– off and the poor even poorer. We need someone who can balance this country-where people are not struggling as they are today. People are out of work, homeless, in the process of losing their houses, dont have medical coverage and even jobless. The rich dont make this country-the people as a whole do. Palin can not be compared to Obama or Biden-point blank -she’s not qualified. She does not have the education or the experience. Here are the facts, John McCain has voted with George Bush over 90% of the time in the past 8 years, our families are losing jobs, homes, cars, basically the foundamentals they need to live. I am not a devoted democrat, I will vote for the republicans if I could just hear what their plan is. Obama-Biden have repeated their plans over and over. In fact I can almost memorize them, all I’m waiting for is an organized plan from the republican camp so I can compare. Not constant criticism of the other parties plan.

Sara Palin won the debate with Joe Biden by a very large margin. I will be voting for McCain and Palin, for the first time in twenty years I am going to vote for a Republican for president and Vice President. Sara Palin has great potential to be the next president of the United States. She has the winning personality of Ronald Regan and Margaret Thatcher with the courage to kick butt when necessary.

I can’t understand how anybody can vote for a ticket, that has Palin. She is a minor leager, and does’nt have any knowledge of whats going on in our country. Can you imagine her as President, if McCain should win and something would happen to him. It’s a shame, that these are the best canidates we have to choose from.

I give Palin a pass, in that she achieved her very low expectations everyone was given her. She beat the spread, because everyone figured she’d flop big time. But will people actually vote for her because she didn’t go crying off the stage? Anyone who believes Palin won has to have blinders on, or are just plain blind. If I asked the Vice President a question as a citizen of this country, and she chose to answer a totally different question, I would say I would have no trust in them. That is exactly what she did throughout the debate, and even said it at the end, that she would not choose to answer the questions but will make up her own and answer them. That says to me “deceit, lack of integrity, weak character, and plain ugliness”. I mean look how desparate they are now, trying to drum up a connection between Obama and a “known terrorist”.

By the way, I have never heard anybody use that stupid accent in my years of growing up in Alaska. “I betcha…” “I’ll get back to yuh…”? She doesn’t represent a thing I stand for as an Alaskan; and as a matter of fact, she represents everything I despise about narrowminded, closeminded, ugliness we find in the most radical part of this country. I once had great respect for McCain for his service to our country, but it has dropped immensely after his choice of Palin. She knows nothing about policy, foreign affairs, or the economy, and has nothing to show but ugly hateful tactics….sorry for rambling, but there is so much to fear about this woman - so much ugliness about her.

Biden won the debate hands down! Palin gets honorable mention for showing up and debating with herself. She is not the average hockey mom or representative of Joe 6-pack, she is however a clever, ambitious young woman that knows what she wants and knows how to get it, “Power”, need I say more. She was disrespectful to Joe Biden and the American people to think that anyone would fall for this I do as I want, say what I want and you got to go along with it. I think Biden was a respectful gentleman doing the entire event. however I would have hailed him if he would have just said “Please take your prisky little backside back to Alaska and hunt moose, so that we can heal this nation that is in serious pain, and we don’t need your I’m a Maverk, drill baby drill, and empty promises”

Debate? I must have missed it. All I saw was a candidate for the VP position ‘make a speech’, rather, a collection of short speeches. What question was answered? Much of the time I thought I was watching an i-POD in operation - push the change switch and get a recorded response regardless of the question. And the attacks on poor Gwen Ifill didn’t help; she seemed to hesitate in her responses to avoid being accused of being biased.

John McCain sure picked a winner. And I supported him in 2000!!

I supported Obama and Biden. Everyone knew that Palin won the debate & CNN is BIAS. Shame on you.
